About Us
The Lower Columbia Transportation Association “LCTA’ was founded in 1937 and known as the Longview Transportation Club. We have been an active group for over 75 years.
It shall be the object of this organization to establish and maintain closer and more understanding partnerships between carriers and shippers. It is non-sectarian and non-political and no demonstration on behalf of these subjects shall at any time be allowed in the association.
We as an association, invite organizations in as guest speakers to education and inform the membership of upcoming projects that could hinder or improve commerce. In the last few years, we have had speakers from “Truckers Against Trafficking”, The”3rd Bridge”, Bendix, Foster Farms, Active Shooter Training, Tour at the EGT LCC Grain Terminal, Tour of the Port of Entry, Operation Life Saver.
We also host a golf tournament each year and choose a non-profit organization to donate proceeds to. Past organizations are Cowlitz County Search and Rescue, Dino Doozer Foundation, The Women’s Shelter, Community House on Broadway, The Salvation Army Angel Tree, and LOVE Inc.
